STRATEGY
Early childhood education startups face a credibility challenge: they need to feel trustworthy enough for educators and institutions to invest in, while still embodying the creativity and warmth at the heart of their mission. For Doran, a Canadian startup focused on empowering educators through innovative teaching methods, the brand identity had to speak to professionalism and playfulness at once.
The solution centred on a logo built around the infinity symbol, a direct representation of lifelong learning and continuous growth, core to Doran's philosophy. Recognizing that Toronto is home to the largest Iranian community in Canada, the logo was designed bilingually, incorporating both English and Farsi. This intentional choice ensures the brand speaks directly to its community without compromising its broader Canadian positioning.
The identity was extended through organic patterns and abstract forms that echo the curiosity and creativity central to early childhood development, grounding the brand in its subject matter rather than abstracting away from it.
The result is a visual identity that feels both credible and inclusive, one that resonates with educators across cultures while staying true to Doran's mission of supporting growth at every stage.
